Production on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” has been paused until January, a Telepictures spokesperson confirmed to USA TODAY.
The television host, 62, said in a tweet that “anyone who has been in close contact with me has been notified, and I am following all proper CDC guidelines.”News of DeGeneres’ diagnosis comes on the same day that the vaccine advisory panel at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is considering emergency use authorization for a COVID-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech. Thursday’s meeting is likely the last step before a U.S. decision to begin shipping millions of doses of the shot, which has shown strong protection against the coronavirus.
