Miami rapper Zoey Dollaz was shot multiple times but is now in stable condition, according to local reports.
Elvis Milord, who goes by the stage name Zoey Dollaz, was shot while on his way to Booby Trap, a Miami strip club, according to hip hop journalist Tony Centeno.
Few other details were available and police did not immediately respond to request for comment.
Milord is a Haitian-American rapper known for songs like “Blow A Check” and “Moonwalk” and is signed to rapper Future’s Freebandz record label.
Milord’s Instagram story shows he was in the studio recording music Wednesday night and then celebrated singer, actress and model Teyana Taylor’s 30th birthday in Miami with her, P. Diddy, Trina, ASAP Ferg, and a few dozen other people.
“My prayers go out to him and his family at this time,” said Bryan Jimenez, a Miami actor that was at the event and shares mutual friends with Milord. “Zoey is tough, he’ll pull through.”
Additional support flooded social media after news of the shooting broke. Atlanta rapper Lil’ Yachty tweeted, “Praying for my brother. @ZoeyDollaz,” Thursday afternoon and Miami rapper GhostWridah tweeted, “just got word, my bro @ZoeyDollaz got shot last night. Sending prayers that mans way!”
